Enterprise in
Education
Cross Arthurlie is
very proud of its
Platinum
award for Enterprise
(and of
its three previous Gold Awards)
|
 |
|
Mrs Frew, Mrs
Mitchell, Sarah (now P5), Alex (now P6)
and Scott (now S1) attended the Enterprise Awards Ceremony
in Woodfarm High School in June, where they were presented with our school's
platinum award.
All pupils have
participated in two Enterprise initiatives this session ranging from a Scottish
afternoon to designing and producing a leaflet on bullying. |
Careers Fair
. |
We held a very successful Careers Fair
on
Tuesday 24th May in the gym hall.
Thanks very much to the parents and advisors who came along to informally
chat to groups of children about their various careers.
We had a wide range of
careers represented (including firemen, nurses, business managers, stroke
rehabilitation personnel, catering managers & occupational therapists) |
My Day of Work
More than 20 of our P7's were able to gain some very valuable
work-experience recently, when they accompanied their parents to work. This
proved a great success and the pupils all had a great time. Again, a big thank
you to parents and their employers for making this possible for so many of our
children. They have all produced a report on their findings. (Watch this space
for some examples)
