Uniform
We are very proud to have a uniform at Cross
Arthurlie and it's lovely to see so many smartly dressed pupils
in school.
Please note that navy and grey are our school colours
- with white shirts/polo shirts.
The school office maintains a reliable year-round stock of items bearing the Official Cross
Arthurlie logo.
Purchasing from the school helps us to buy in bulk and keep
our prices low. It
also ensures you get the correct school logo.
As you can see, we have introduced a polo
shirt
with navy banding around the collar and sleeves.
These cost £7.50 and are available to order from the
school office.

Clothing Guidelines
Given that there is substantial parental and
public approval of uniform, schools in East Renfrewshire are free to encourage
the wearing of school uniform. There are
grants available to assist with the cost of school uniform.
There are however, forms of dress which are
unacceptable in school,
such as items of clothing which:
a) could, potentially encourage
faction (such as football strips);
b) could cause offence (such as
anti religious symbolism or political slogans;
c) could cause health and safety
difficulties, such as loose fitting clothing; dangling earrings, shell suits
of flammable material in practical classes;
e) could cause damage to flooring;
f) carry advertising, particularly
for alcohol or tobacco;
g) could be used to inflict damage
on other pupils or be used by others to do so.
